Don’t let the name fool you. Chicago’s Judas Beast is primarily a world-class Iron Maiden tribute band that happens to play a few Judas Priest songs. But that’s not the only thing that throws you off while your face is being rocked. I had to pinch myself to be reminded that I wasn’t actually back in time watching Iron Maiden in their prime. The playing is spot-on perfect, the vocals are a dead ringer for Bruce Dickinson’s original, and the immense energy and stage presence is even beyond what you’d expect.
