In case you haven’t been following our near-weekly play by play coverage of the annual 13 week battle covered by Josh Lauritsen, then you need to know that Battle Of Birdy’s is Indiana’s largest live music battle. Nearly 60 bands duke it out over a two round, 12 week stint to arrive at the final. The winner gets $5,000 cash as well as a pretty prestigious local title for the entire coming year. The 2013 title now belongs to Audiodacity, which also still holds the title of “Indy’s Next Big Thing” from another battle last November!
Please note that due to circumstances out of our control we were unable to photograph the opening band, Bleedingkeys. It was in no way intentional and we apologize. Fortunately, Josh was there to review so they will be discussed in our written coverage.
