View Sean's Posts | E-Mail Him To anyone who knows me personally, it’s no secret I have a fiery passion for live music photography. Blame it on the paint chips I ate as a child. Blame it on working in a music store for a decade. I’d just go ahead and blame it on The Beatles. Concert photography is a unique animal in the sense that you are capturing music sans music. If you look at it that way, it's pointless. It isn't until you strip away the layers of a performance that you realize we rarely go to a show just to close our eyes and embrace an aural attack. We could just sit at home and listen to the (usually) perfect recording on our home stereo. Live performance is about energy. It's about experience. It's the X factor. Live music is about excitement and entertainment, and photography that doesn't try to do the same is pointless. I want to represent passion and art with both passion and art. Eye for an eye. Ear for an ear.
